Renowned singer and cultural personality Tanjina Toma has been honoured with the prestigious 71 Media Vision and Frontline Television Award 2025 for her outstanding contribution to music, performing arts, and her tireless efforts in supporting children with disabilities through music therapy.
Over the past two decades, Toma has dedicated her life to not only performing but also teaching music as a tool for healing and psychological upliftment for children with special needs and their families. Her institution, Bibhash Cultural Academy, has trained thousands of students in music, art, and craft over the last decade, serving as a beacon of inclusive education in the arts.
The award ceremony, held at a city hotel on 25 July, was graced by distinguished guests and luminaries from across the nation. Justice Mir Hasmat Ali of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh presided as the Chief Guest. Other honourees included celebrated figures such as Robi Chowdhury, Nipa Khandaker, and Dilara Zaman.
“This recognition reflects a collective effort to use music as a universal language of healing,” said Tanjina Toma while receiving the award.
